Breakfast in Nanjing

We slept until 7:00am after the long flight. Here I am having my first breakfast. The thing I am eating is called congee. It is like a rice porridge. It tasted like watery rice. It was good. There was a mixture of Chinese and western food at the breakfast buffet. Some things I couldn't figure out what they were. The toast was good. The weirdest thing we saw was something called taros that Dad thought was fried turnip.
Mom says when we get to Guangzhou I won't believe the breakfast at the White Swan Hotel. We go to Guangzhou next Sunday.
