Yesterday we left Nanjing (whew!) and flew to Guangzhou in the south of China. We are staying on a little island called Shamian Island and our hotel room has a view overlooking the Pearl River (which is really polluted). We saw someone swimming in it! Gross. Guangzhou is like a little town and our hotel is the only real tall building. It's really warm here and I can go out without a jacket. There are palm trees.
At night everything lights up even the bridge which changes different colors. The whole river is surrounded with lights. I love walking around here. In the morning there are a lot of people doing exercise in the park.
