Silk Brocade

We visited a silk brocade museum in Nanjing. It was really cool because it showed the ancient looms still active today. There was somebody at the top of these looms and they decided how to make the design and took the design from their mind and pulled the strings to make the person below put a thread under the pulled strings which eventually makes the pattern. Only the people at the top of the looms know the secret that was passed down from generation to generation for thousands of years.
